REN-ISAC's Comprehensive General Assessment enables you and your institution to strengthen internal safeguards and mitigate possible risk across your entire security program.  Using the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) as their guide, our expert peer assessors from other higher education institutions will provide you with an objective evaluation of your institution's current security standing with a focus on scalability and continuous process improvement.

Assessment Process

• Schedule a consultation.
• Choose scope, topics, and add-ons.
• Choose the dates of your assessment (approximately two months after initial contact).
• Assessor researches and reviews institution-specific practices.
• Assessor spends four days on campus performing personnel interviews with staff across IT and other functional areas.
• Assessor prepares early report drafts for your review.
