Bottom line, what's different?
- Instead of two tiers of membership (General and XSec), there are now four core communities (General, Officer, Ops, and Affiliate)
- If you are currently a Member Rep, you will still be a Member Rep and also be added to the Ops core community
- The Ops community is for those who meet our traditional guidelines (protection and response for the entire institution)
- XSec has not changed (job requirements, vetting, vouching); the pre-requisite is 6 weeks of good standing in Ops
- The General core community is for security practitioners that don't meet Ops requirements
- The Officer core community is for executives with a stake in information security
- The "discuss" list will be available to Member Reps in all communities (General, Officer, and Ops)
- The Affiliate core community is for trusted experts to participate in special interest groups
- Refer to the EP page for full descriptions of the communities and roles
